The Rebirth of Hollywood 🎥

PLUS: AI ❤️ and VladGPT...

Hey folks,

Welcome to Brain Salad, your weekly portion of the freshest, funniest, and weirdest things happening in AI.

We’ve had a few weeks off whilst we work on a few things (more news coming soon).

So without further ado, let’s tuck in.

In this week’s edition:

  • Hollywood and remix culture 🎥

  • AI companions curing loneliness đź’¦

  • Russia announces VladGPT 🤔

  • Plus tools, trending news, and memes…

Hollywood x Personalisation

Seems like not a day goes by without a new Wes Anderson-based remix going crazy viral.

This got me thinking about Hollywood and how it’s going to be disrupted over the next few years.

The power of these tools levels the playing field for creators (think traditional SAAS but on steroids). Armed with these tools indie creators will become a huge threat to the traditional Hollywood machine.

From screenwriting to the casting process, AI tech will seep into every facet of Hollywood.

Being able to alter the appearance of actors isn’t new, deepfake tech has been making the rounds for years. But with AI you’ll be able to take this one step further and change and film, into any style you want.

Want to change the dialouge? Swap an actor for someone else (or yourself)? Easy peasy.

All of this will get faster, easier and more widely available over the next few years, to the point where you might be able to jump into the Delorean with the Doc and transport yourself back to 1955.

Love in the age of AI 🤤

Caryn Majorie joined forces with Beastmode from Forever Voices to launch a virtual girlfriend to help cure thirstiness loneliness.

Her fans can now have private conversations with her, go on virtual dates, get into shape with Workout Mode, learn a new language, or even get advice in Life Coach Mode.

Fans are paying $1 per minute to use the chatbot and the first week of its release has generated over $70k+!

There’s clearly a business and demand for this stuff (of course there is) and similar products and experiences are springing up all the time.

Teaser AI for example is a dating app that lets anyone, create their own AI clone that potential dates can chat with.

Russia enters the AI race

In between threatening to nuke the West and hiding out in golden palaces Putin has found time to announce that Russian are working on their own version of ChatGPT.

Should we be worried that a brutal dictatorship is working on AI?

Possibly but if their AI functions anything like their army we might be ok.

 Fresh stuff 🥗

Xenobots are living robots made from frog cells. Oh and they’re self-replicating. This is fine.

Hold on to your salad bowl. Sweetgreens recently launched its Infinite Kitchen. AI salad news feels very on-brand.

If you stream on Twitch and you want to capture your best bits without trawling through videos check out Capture Lab.

If you like creepy weird 80’s style videos then check out AI Lost Media on YT.

Dexa.ai is now available to the general public. If you ever wanted to ask Andrew Huberman to design you a morning routine, now you can.

AI makes non-invasive mind reading possible by translating your brain activity into a stream of text.

I’ve been getting into AutoGPT recently. If you are interested in hacking your day-to-day workflows then I recommend checking out the Discord.

Fancy a nice, cold beer? Fancy double-ending a nice cold beer with some random person.
